Help and support

Accessibility at OverlayOn

Find tips for preparing your overlays and a way to contact us if you encounter an accessibility barrier or need information to evaluate the product.

Prepare a readable scoreboard

  • Use clear team names. Crests and colors can complement names, but should not be the only way to distinguish the teams.
  • Check scoreboard size and contrast over the actual video, at the final broadcast resolution and size. Also review the clock, penalties, added time and long team names.
  • In LaLiga templates that alternate team names and crests, you can remove a team crest in the editor to keep its name visible. Review the preview before broadcasting.
  • In LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion, the web page keeps team names visible when you enable the reduced-motion preference in your system or browser. Each viewer’s preference does not automatically apply to video composed in OBS.

The overlay page and the broadcast

The editor, the overlay web page and the broadcast video are different contexts. OBS turns the overlay into video imagery: the page’s labels and alternative text are not carried into the video as information a screen reader can read. Plan the commentary, captions and other alternatives your audience needs as part of the complete broadcast.

Report a barrier or ask for help

Email our support contact. You can ask for help with a control, describe a barrier or request information in another format. You do not need to attach a screenshot to report a problem.

Email [email protected]

To help us reproduce the problem, include what you have available:

  • The page or template and the task you were trying to complete.
  • What you expected to happen and what happened.
  • Your browser, operating system and assistive technology, if applicable.
  • The format or way of contacting you that works best for you.

Do not send passwords, payment details or private overlay links. You can identify the template without sharing your broadcast URL.

Evaluations and VPAT/ACR requests

If your organization needs accessibility information or a VPAT/ACR, email support with the templates, controls and output you want to evaluate, the requested standards and your target date.
